The Tipperary Courthouse and Bridewell project involves the conservation, restoration and adaptive re-use of a substantially  intact courthouse and bridewell complex in Tipperary Town. The existing buildings are sensitively re-imaged as educational spaces for adults with learning difficulties, bringing this fascinating series of buildings back into community use.

The existing courthouse volume is substantially retained as the main desk-work room with classrooms and breakout spaces occupying the existing smaller rooms on either side of the main volume. A new extension, within the proportional system of the existing building but modern in expression, provides universal access to all areas.

The landscaping strategy prioritises habitat creation with a biodiverse boundary to the site retained and enhanced.

The project is currently at tender stage and is being delivered using BIM.
