The Church Bar & Restaurant on Mary St, Dublin 1, is a thriving venue within the historic St Mary’s Church which dates from the early 1700’s.

This project provides two new glass pavilions on either side of the church, one to Mary St on the north and one to Wolf Tone Park on the south.

These new pavilions are designed to be as light and transparent as possible to ensure that the existing church retains its character and primacy.

The new pavilions have a lightweight steel structure with a bespoke steel-framed glazing system providing excellent transparency through the original church walls. The project is currently onsite and due for completion in Q2 2025 and is being delivered using BIM.

Seán Harrington Architects were the design architects up to planning stage for the project.
